Go the Distance

So I said before that I have been working on Go the Distance from Hercules and that there was just one part that I couldn't quite get. Well I finally got it!!!! It took a lot of practicing but I finally got it and so here it is. I'm gonna post When You Believe from Prince of Egypt next. I have it down but I found out that I'm not playing part of it at the right speed so I gotta work on that. I hope I can get a lot more songs done quicker so that I can show you what I've been working on. I know that this is played perfectly but it was pretty good. Whenever I tried to play it again, a plane would fly by and so I couldn't hear my playing or finally Caiden came out of Mom and Dad's room. Oh well. Hope you enjoy this still. Oh yeah I did just get a haircut today and so this shows off my new haircut done by Ashleigh. She's awesome!!!

Into the West

So here's another song that I've had for a long time and thought I should post it. Once again I was scared because of the camera but it turned out ok. I recorded myself playing it a few times and this one was the best any turned out, though there was another one that had more feeling in it. I just wish that one had been played with more accuracy. Oh well. This song is one of my favorites to listen to and play. It's called "Into the West" from "The Lord of the Ring: Return of the King" written by Annie Lennox, Fran Walsh, and Howard Shore. Sorry there are no posts

So because were working on home improvement stuff right now I can't record anything. I have plenty of songs down now but I can't record until we paint the house. Hopefully that comes soon. Last time I posted I said that I would have Go The Distance down in a week and for the most part I do but there is still one spot I can't get so I won't be posting that just yet.

trying new stuff

So for Christmas Mommy and Daddy got me a book full of songs from family musical movies like beauty and the beast, Lion King, Hercules, and Oliver. Something that's pretty cool about the book is that its not the simplified versions so when I play them, they actually sound a lot like they do in the movies. Right now I'm working REALLY hard on Go the Distance from Hercules. It's so hard but very pretty. I think I'll have it down in about a week. It's really hard to practice though because we have to keep covering up the furniture because we're knocking out the wall and covering up stuff right now. But it's still going good.

The EFY Medley

So I've been working on this song for about 3 months and just never got around to recording it until yesterday. This song is the "EFY Medley" arranged by Michael R. Hicks and is a combination of "As Sisters in Zion" and "We'll Bring the World His Truth". I do know that their are a lot of mistakes but I was very nervous seeing as this is the first time I've recorded myself. On the bright side, I never stopped playing. I just kept right on going. Just Getting Started

So I've been working on piano for about three years now and thought it would be a good idea to start posting video's of myself playing the songs as I learn them so that family and friends can see them. I don't really know how to do this just yet but I'm going to be experimenting with stuff and I'll figure it out, hopefully today.
